I.  Greco-Muslim Esotericism...It is well known that the Tarot pack as we know it now represents two card-sets spliced together.  First we see the Mamluk pack (sometimes called the Minor Arcana), which came into Europe from the south and east as a 52-card game. Afterwards, the Trump set (sometimes called the Major Arcana) was created to accompany those, first appearing in Northern Italy.  It is most often assumed that the Mamluk game pack was not invested with the degree of symbolic and esoteric implications that seem to have grown up around the Trumps...http://www.tarotarkletters.com/2009/10/greco-muslim-esotericism.html

II.  World Servers' Spread, October, 2009...Today I am working with a 48-card pack of modern Spanish playing cards.  This means, no Queens and no Trumps.  My goal is to demonstrate the way a regular pack of playing cards can be used as a foreshortened Tarot.  The box for this little pack says Playing Cards "Savina" (made in China)....http://www.tarotarkletters.com/2009/10/world-servers-spread-october-2009.html

III.  New Moon Notes - October, 2009 ...A tisket, a tasket, we have a little basket! FUTURE STAGES:

2nd Quarter, Waxing Half Moon at2+ Aquarius, on Sunday, October 25 at 8:43 PM (EDT) / 5:43 PM (PDT)

Full Moon at 10+ Taurus, on Monday November 2nd, at 2:15 PM (EST) / 11:15 AM (PST).  From this moment, the Moon begins to wane, or decrease.

4th Quarter, Waning Half Moon at 17+ Leo on Monday November 9th at 10:57 AM (EST) / 7:57 AM (PST)

Next NewMoon  24+ Scorpio, on  Monday November 16th at 2:15 PM (EST) / 11:15 AM (PST).    From this moment, the Moon begins to wax, or increase.
